We developed the EMIRAI4 concept car featuring next-generation driving-assistance technology, which is expected to help reduce tra_c accidents and contribute to increasingly safe,convenient and environmentally friendly transportation.Under the theme of "Feeling with you; convenient, safe and comfortable for each one",development of the new concept car hasdrawn on three specific fields of research: Electrification, Autonomous driving, and Connected. EMIRAI 4 is equipped with next-generation technology such as newly developed human-machineinterface (HMI) technology, driver sensing that uses a wide-angle interior camera to simultaneously monitor both the driver and passenger seat occupants, and lighting system. We introduce future vehicle electrification systems with Mitsubishi Electric’s advanced technologies for the sustainable and low-carbon societies. 48V Crankshaft ISG system (Crankshaft direct driven Type)for a 48V mild-hybrid car, which will be expanded in the near future,is also exhibited.

自動運転 / Autonomous Driving

自動運転の実用化に向け当社の技術力を結集した実証実験車「xAUTO」をはじめとする自動運転関連技術をご紹介いたします。xAUTOは前方監視カメラやミリ波レーダ等の周辺センシング技術を活用した自律型走行に加えて、準天頂衛星の信号と高精度地図を活用したインフラ型走行技術を組み合わせることで、高度な運転支援を行います。従来のテストコースでの機能検証だけでなく、実際の道路環境で実証実験を行うことにより、テストコースでは検証できない自動運転の課題解決を目指しています。2017年9月には準天頂衛星を利用したセンチメータ級測位補強サービス（CLAS）を活用した自動運転の実証試験を、業界に先駆けて実施しました。

We introduce our autonomous driving technologies and our test vehicle, xAUTO. The xAUTO o_ers a high level of driving assistance, by integrating self-sensing driving technologies such as forward-monitoring camera and millimeter-wave radar with network-based driving technologies including high-accuracy 3D mapping in combination with a centimeter-level augmentation service(CLAS) broadcast from the Quasi-ZenithSatellite System(QZSS).
We use this vehicle not only for conventional test course verification, but also for verification on Japanese expressway for more than 300 hours.In September 2017, we took place the world’s first field test in CLAS-based autonomous driving. It was confirmed that this technology has advanced to the practical level.

準天頂衛星からの測位情報信号を受信できる準天頂衛星受信機 GS-300（仮称）と接続することにより、高速道路におけるレーンレベルでの道路表示・案内や近年多発している逆走の検知・警告を実現し、より安心安全なドライブをご提供いたします。

High end Audio Car Navigation System
DIATONE SOUND. NAVI

Visitors will be able to experience our DIATONE SOUND NAVI, which offers improved comfort thanks to our original speech recognition function and a newsreader function that leverages summarizing technology powered by artificial intelligence. This navigation system provides a more secure driving experience by connecting with a GS-300 (provisional name) quasi-zenith satellite receiver that can receive positioning information signals from quasi-zenith satellites. This makes it possible to display road information and guidance accurate down to the lane level. It also makes it possible to provide detection of and warning for wrong-way driving, which is a problem on the rise in recent years.
