The width of the 10A frame unit is a mere 36mm, and is the industry’s smallest(*) general-purpose magnetic contactor. Use it once, and be surprised at its actual smallness.

The expanded voltage rating of the new contactor coils means that now only seven types are needed to cover the same range as, the 14 types of coils used in the conventional product. Customers who have been using different coils for overseas use and domestic use can now reduce the number of parts they keep in stock.

Safety is a number one priority in plants. Thus, a terminal cover has been developed for even greater safety around electric equipment while remaining in compliance with DIN/VDE standards. It not only prevents electric shocks, but ensures safety during operation.

By using a manual motor starter, not only can the control panel be downsized, but the number of parts can also be reduced for a truly compact control panel.

By using an optional conductor connection unit, the MS-T series can be easily connected to a contactor reducing the number of work processes.

The MS-T series is in the process of acquiring certification under standards in various regions including EC, JIS, UL, CE and CCC, to fully support the overseas business of our customers.

Electricity data is taken every 30 minutes and retained in the smart meter. When the meter is used in combination with a higher-level device such as Mitsubishi’s meter reading controller, it can confirm electricity usage by the hour. By visualizing electricity usage, Mitsubishi smart meters will support your energy-saving initiatives.

Three types of communication systems are available, including Mitsubishi Electric’s B/NET transmission (which supports excellent noise immunity and installation efficiency), the standard RS-485 communication network, and wireless communication for environments where communication lines cannot be installed. This allows you to select a communication specification that matches your usage environment.

The smart meter has a built-in switch that controls the power supply. It can be turned on or off remotely by command from a meter reading controller or other higher-level device via the meter’s communication function. It is especially useful when residents and tenants move in or out of a building. (The switch is incorporated only in single-phase, three-wire 60A rated models.)

Equipped with a built-in LCD display the unit can both measure energy usage and display measured values, and buttons on the front panel can be used to make the necessary settings. The unit also incorporates a pulse counting feature, output feature, and current-voltage upper/lower limit alarm feature. It also comes in high performance models that can directly connect to voltages up to 440V.

The measuring unit comes pre-installed with a MODBUS^® RTU (RS-485) communication module for connection to a PLC or other high-level device. It can also be used with the EMU4-SW1 data collection software to display current values, output forms, and make settings for the measuring unit via a PC.

By adding a logging unit, electricity, electric current and voltage measurement data can be output to an SD memory card in CSV file format for easy data management. Furthermore, by adding a B/NET transmission or CC-Link communication module, the unit can be connected with Mitsubishi Electric’s EcoServerIII energy conservation data collection server or PLC.

The top runner program for transformers, which began in FY2006 pursuant to the Energy Conservation Law, will undergo a revision in FY2014 for achievement of further energy efficiency. The R Series oil-immersed and molded transformers conform to the new standard, and their upgrade from previous transformers will contribute to reducing power loss.

A significant average improvement of approximately 12.5% has been achieved in energy consumption efficiency compared to the existing N Series, owing to a thorough review of iron-core materials and other materials used, and design optimization. This translates to a large contribution in reducing electricity charges.

• The standard oil level thermometer and oil drain valve (change from conventional oil drain plug) have been expanded from a capacity of more than 150kVA to 75kVA and 100kVA, to mitigate the burden of maintenance and inspection work.
• Aseismic performance has been strengthened by reviewing the installation structure, so that models up to 1000kVA have a design seismic coefficient of 2.0 (without rubber insulation).

These high-reliability models ensure worry-free operations even in environments with unstable power supply (uninterruptible backup switching). In addition to models outfitted with a terminal block, models outfitted with plug receptacles are also available, to provide power by a connection method suited to the usage environment.

These standard models protect power supplies to servers, as well as FA equipment. In addition to an AVR feature that is compatible with a wide range of input voltages, they come with a detachable wired remote controller as a standard feature.

These affordable basic models protect power supplies to PLCs. With a compact installation footprint (45mm wide), they are ideal for Mitsubishi Electric PLCs.
