Printed circuit board machining (hole drilling) process

Mitsubishi Electric’s laser drilling machines feature the latest technology, allowing them to quickly drill the most minute holes. This helps in producing compact, high-performance electronic devices.

  • Micro-laser drilling machines for high-density mounting boards are capable of drilling around 5,000 holes per second
  • The Mitsubishi FA device group is made up of the most advanced machining equipment

Component mounting process

Circuit board cycle times are reduced by using control technology that allows high-speed mounting and the latest in vibration damping technology to cancel out any excess vibration.

  • More compact high-performance heads using PCB-shaped servo amplifiers and the compact and powerful HG-AK Servo Motor.
  • The Advanced Vibration Control II suppresses vibration in both the head and the cabinet

Inspection process

Manually operated inspection equipment is automated, reducing inspection errors and allowing 24-hour operation.

  • Automated solutions using C language controllers and CyberOperator
  • Examples of the use of CyberMaintenance and CIMSNIPER using C language controllers

Machining and polishing process

Robots are used for tasks that previously depended on manual operation, allowing more uniform product quality.Key points include:

  • RV-F series vertical type articulated robots ideally suited to cell production
  • Intelligent technology that uses force sensors to allow abrasion to be applied at a fixed pressure regardless of the level of tool wear
  • Positioning without an encoder using the FR-A800 inverters

Packaging and Shipping

Robots are used for tasks normally carried out manually, reducing cycle times and cutting down on laborious work

  • The F-series compact robots are provide access from all aspects, including from the rear, allowing greater freedom in equipment layout
  • Dedicated palletizing robots allow high-speed palletizing operations
