Regardless of the network level, communication from the field devices right up too the overriding information system is as seamless as if it were a single network. Data from field devices can be logged and maintenance can be carried out from anywhere on the site.

The engineering tools enable you to locate network faults at a glance. And because you can quickly locate the fault when a problem arises, there is less downtime. The status of the entire network is displayed visually, allowing you to quickly identify circuit faults and unit abnormalities. You can even use the network to monitor the status of PLCs at other stations.

Bidirectional data transfer rates have been increased to 150 Mbps (equivalent to 300 Mbps over both directions), three times faster than previously. This dramatically improves system responsiveness and allows fully synchronous communication with SSCNET III/H. This also improves the performance of equipment that requires very precise synchronization, such as printers, foodstuff packaging equipment and machining equipment. The use of optical fiber effectively guards against interference caused by electrical noise from power lines and external devices.

Through integrated management of facility production information (production quantity/number of non-defective products) and energy information, energy consumption can be managed in detail, for example for each model or process.

By managing the power supply, the occurrence of errors in the facility can be promptly detected, preventing poor quality products from flowing to subsequent processes or being shipped, reducing unnecessary costs.

Even during high-intensity processes such as logging, scripts or device data transfer, the screen operations are simple and straightforward (monitor performance is twice as good or better). Project compression technology has been used to make 128 MB of real memory available, without using SD cards. You can create screens without having to worry about data capacity.

Uses a double-tap technique for important operations to prevent mistaken operation. You can also use gestures to enlarge each screen so that even small, fiddly switches are easy to use. After you enlarge a screen, you can scroll around freely to view other areas you want to use.

A new white model is available so you can chose the best color to match the equipment. The front is flat (no USB interface) so cleaning is easy too. The screens can also be used in portrait (upright) format, making them ideal for constrained or tall and narrow spaces, allowing them to be used in almost any workplace.
